I had been running a website about bilingual upbringing since August 1997 under the title Bilingual Upbringing of Children in the Home. From the beginning I intended to prepare a German version, but for years I postponed the project.
Around Pentecost 2004 I finally presented a German version. It had become much more than a translation: a separate collection of explanations, experiences, definitions and links around bilingual and multilingual family life.
The section was explicitly intended to grow over time. This English page preserves that historical account while integrating it into the present website.
